In celebration of their hard work throughout the semester, Middlesex Community College is excited to host two Student Recitals as part of the Spring 2026 “A World of Music” concert series at MCC’s Concert Hall in Bedford.

“It is so important for our music students to have the opportunity to perform in public,” said Carmen Rodríguez-Peralta, MCC’s Chair of Music. “During the semester, they work diligently learning pieces and improving as musicians, and this is a way to share their achievements with everyone. I always look forward to these concerts!”

The Piano Spotlight Recital will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29. MCC student pianists Luke Brunelle, Lucas Guerrero and Judie Toti will play works by J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Clemente, Brahms and Lavín.

“I will be playing both solo piano and guitar with my classmates in my guitar class,” Brunelle, of Dracut said. “I am excited and can't wait to hear all my classmates and the result of the practice they have put in this semester.”

MCC student singers and instrumentalists, along with works by music technology students, will perform at the General Student Recital at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, May 4.

“I am looking forward to playing in the guitar class ensemble,” said Don Mattes, an MCC student, of Maynard. “I have practiced all semester with my classmates, and I am excited to perform in the student recital for everyone else to enjoy.”
