Middlesex Community College’s Fall 2026 Mini-mester II kicks off Monday, November 2. The popular, convenient and accelerated option allows students to complete classes in just eight weeks.
“MCC’s Mini-mester II allows you to start your education on your own terms and at the time that works best for you,” said Shawna Lind, MCC’s Registrar. “By taking the accelerated options, you can fit more classes into your schedule and finish your program faster. This helps get you on track to reach your goals, whether you’re planning to transfer to a four-year school or enter the workforce as quickly as possible.”
The accelerated eight-week Mini-mesters offer the same content, academic standards, and number of instructional hours as courses scheduled during the traditional 15-week semester. Students can earn transferable college credits while completing general education requirements.
Subjects taught as part of Mini-mester II include the arts and humanities, business, social science, and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Classes may be offered on-campus, online, hybrid or hyflex.
No matter your age or income, community college is now free in Massachusetts! Free community college covers tuition and fees for all students without a bachelor’s degree, including those taking classes as part of Mini-mester II.
Middlesex will host a Bedford Fall Open House at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 14. The Open House will cover experiences from academic and career counseling, dual enrollment, financial aid and free college, tutoring, student access and support services, honors opportunities, and more. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a campus tour of the Bedford facilities and apply to the college.
“We have a lot to offer at MCC, and we’re excited to showcase our Bedford Campus this Fall,” Lind said. “Get your questions answered, apply to the college, and have a chance to look around our beautiful campus. We’re excited to welcome you!”
MCC’s Mini-mester II starts on Monday, November 2. Registration for the Spring 2027 semester will open Tuesday, November 10.
