- A high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate (such as a GED or HiSet) is required*
- SAT scores are NOT required

Programs with Special Admission Requirements
Applicants to the Digital Forensics Certificate program must meet one of the following conditions to be admitted to the program:
- A bachelor’s degree in any field OR approval of the program coordinator for students with a minimum of three years of professional experience either in law enforcement or in a field related to information technology/computer science.
Note: The Digital Forensics Associates Degree does not require a previous degree or experience. We are now accepting applications for the Fall 2025 semester.
Applicants to the Paralegal Certificate program are required to submit an official transcript showing proof of a conferred Associate or Bachelor's degree to be admitted.
Note: The Paralegal Studies Career and Transfer Associate degrees do not require a previous degree. We are now accepting applications for the Fall 2025 semester.
Applicants to the Early Childhood Leadership Certificate must complete the following admission requirements to be accepted:
- Provide an official college transcript demonstrating completion of at least 15 credits with a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
- Submit a copy of a current MA Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), Lead Teacher (Level 2) Certification
- Submit a letter from a current or previous employer with employment dates documenting at least six months in a Lead Teacher role.
Note: The Early Childhood Education and Transfer Associates Degree does not require previous college credits or certification/employment. We are now accepting applications for the Fall 2025 semester.
Health Division Programs with Special Admission Requirements
The health programs at MCC have specific admission requirements, have additional admission prerequisites and the number of students admitted to these programs is limited. Please click below to review specific program requirements. Once prerequisites and additional requirements have been completed, you may apply to the Health Division program of choice by submitting the Online Admission Application.
You will also need to send us your official transcript(s) to show the completion of specific course prerequisites for the program for which you are applying. Please see admission requirements below for more information regarding which courses are required. If you have not completed the prerequisite courses for a particular Health program, you should apply to Liberal Studies with Health Pathway.
Prospective students and new applicants are strongly recommended to attend one of the following:

Some health programs require you to attend a mandatory overview session. Please note that these sessions are paused for the summer and will return in Fall 2025:

A valid testing site is on-campus at any public Massachusetts community college part of the state system (this excludes Quincy College). Middlesex offers TEAS tests on-campus in Bedford and Lowell

- Applicants can take the TEAS three times within the calendar year. When retesting applicants must wait a minimum of 45 days between testing dates

Priority consideration will be given to completed applications, including transcripts, the Health Program Recommendation Form, and TEAS, received by the deadline. Applicants are ranked on a waitlist by the date they completed their application and submitted all required admission materials. This is the order that applicants are admitted to the program. 30 students are admitted for Fall for Nursing Day and Nursing Evening. 30 students are admitted for Spring for Nursing Day only.

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is an exam designed to assess the academic skills and knowledge of individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. The exam covers four main subjects: reading, math, science, and English language usage.
What am I being tested on?
The TEAS is divided into four sections. We look at your score for each of these sections

Option 1 – FREE online TEAS prep workshops via zoom to MCC students
Option 2 – Individual TEAS tutoring appointments in all subject areas are available by request

We are currently encouraging all LPNs to apply to Fundamentals due to reduced wait time, seat availability and guaranteed admission for qualified applicants. Please review the Nursing requirements and email Nursing Admissions to confirm you are a good candidate for Advanced Placement before moving forward with either of these options.
We do not have a LPN to RN bridge program. We have two options to allow LPN students
to start in an advanced semester in our Nursing program. Applicants must meet all
the RN admission requirements listed above, as well as the following semester requirements:
Option I: Advanced Placement into Second Semester
This option is open to all licensed LPNs.
- Completion of ENG 101, PSY 101 and BIO 231. BIO 231 must be completed with a C or better in the last 5 years.
- Successful completion of the National League for Nursing Acceleration Challenge (NACE) with a 75% or better. The exam must be taken on campus at Middlesex and students only have one opportunity to take the exam and meet the score requirements.
Option II: Advanced Placement into Third Semester
This option is only open to LPNs who have graduated from Greater Lowell Tech, Shawsheen Tech and Assabet Valley Tech with a 83% average or better within the last 5 years. Applicants must submit official LPN transcript to transcripts@middlesex.edu.
- Completion of ENG 101, PSY 101, ANT 101, BIO 231 and BIO 232. BIO 231 and BIO 232 must be completed with a C or better within the last 5 years.
- Successful completion of the Pharamcolgy requirement. This requirement can be completed by taking the NLN Pharmacology exam on campus at MCC and earning a 73% or better OR enrolling NUR 160 with explicit permission from the Admissions and Nursing Departments.
