This Fall, Middlesex Community College will offer the Money Management Group to help students take control of their finances and develop practical money management skills. Run by the college’s SUCCESS Scholars Program, the Money Management Group promotes financial wellness and equips students to achieve their financial goals while earning a degree.

“By creating the Money Management Group, I hope to inspire and empower students to become financially savvy and confident with their money,” said Serrahtani Parrish, MCC’s Success Program Coordinator and Financial Wellness Coach. “Together, we’ll build a supportive community that sparks personal growth and encourages positive money habits.”

The Money Management Group will meet from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. twice a month in the Lowell Cowan Center, Room 104. Sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays on September 16 and 23, October 7 and 14, November 4 and 18, and December 2 and 9. Running throughout the Fall 2025 semester, each session will provide students with financial guidance.

Led by a team of financial wellness coaches and SUCCESS staff, MCC’s Money Management Group will guide students on how to budget their allowance, understand credit, manage their savings, and keep themselves and others accountable to stay on track. Students will receive a supportive learning environment to learn more about financial wellness and prepare for their financial future.

MCC’s SUCCESS Scholars Program supports Asian American, Black, African American, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ students, with academic coaching and mentorship, financial wellness services, and career development guidance. While the Money Management Group is tailored to SUCCESS-eligible students, all MCC students are encouraged to attend and participate.
