MCC is proud to announce it has once again been asked to participate in the eighth year of the prestigious Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI). As a five-time MSI participant, MCC has received $15,000 in support of career and technical education programs throughout the initiative's existence.

In 2023, MCC completed a comprehensive Facilities Master Plan and incorporated a Decarbonization Plan to align with the state’s net-zero emissions goal. While supporting the college’s long-term financial sustainability, the plans are guiding many upcoming facilities and capital investment decisions.

Before she graduated from high school, Amelia Smilovitz earned her associate degree from Middlesex Community College. As part of MCC’s Dual Enrollment program, she studied mechanical engineering to gain early hands-on experience in her field. She was one of two graduation speakers representing the class of 2026 at MCC’s Commencement, held on Thursday, May 21, at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
