Withdrawing from a class and need a refund?
Plans sometimes change. Get all the info you need to understand MCC's withdrawal policy.
Students are considered enrolled in course(s) until they officially withdraw from the course(s) that they no longer attend. To be eligible for a refund or reduction in tuition and mandatory fees, students MUST officially withdraw from their course(s). Official withdrawal must be made:

IMPORTANT
Students dropping or withdrawing from classes or from the College must follow the appropriate process by notifying the College in writing, in person, online or by calling 1-800-818-3434. Official Withdrawal forms are available at each campus Student Information Center or by emailing withdrawal@middlesex.edu
The amount of the refund is dependent on the date that all required forms are submitted. A student receiving Federal Title IV aid and who has officially withdrawn from the college may be entitled to a refund of tuition and mandatory fees in accordance with the federally mandated schedule.

Refunds are only issued to students who withdraw from courses by the posted schedule adjustment deadlines listed below.
Winter Session Refund Schedule – January 2– January 17
Tuition & Mandatory Fees
- 100% on or before January 2, 2025
- 50% on or before January 3, 2025
- 0% after January 3, 2025
Regular Semester Schedule – January 21– May 19
Tuition & Mandatory Fees
- 100% on or before January 28, 2025
- 50% January 29 - February 5, 2025

Accelerated Semester Schedule Minimester I – January 21 – March 12
