Gearing up for the Fall 2026 semester, Middlesex Community College is excited to welcome students back to campus. To help prepare new and returning students ahead of the Tuesday, September 8 start date, Middlesex will host One Week to Go events on both campuses from Monday, August 31 to Thursday, September 3.

“MCC is so excited to be counting down to the start of the Fall semester with our One Week to Go events,” said Maria McDuffie Clark, MCC’s Director for Student Engagement. “These events give you the time and resources to prepare for the semester, including allowing you to build connections with classmates and employees. You’ll be able to complete all the necessary steps, grow more familiar with the college, and enjoy some fun activities and treats. We look forward to helping you get on track for a successful start!”

Events will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A social outing will take place on Friday, September 4. During these times, students can attend open office hours for areas across the college, including Admissions, Enrollment, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, and more.

The week will also provide opportunities to tour both campuses, visit important spaces around the campuses, get the required MCC ID, register for classes, and fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Massachusetts Application for State Financial Aid (MAFSA).

To celebrate the upcoming semester, the college will provide food, games and prizes. Emphasizing the importance of building relationships with peers, the events are a chance for students to engage with the community and witness the supportive environment MCC provides.

One Week to Go is co-hosted by MCC’s Office of Student Engagement, International and Multicultural Affairs, and the SUCCESS Scholars Program.

“All semester long, we offer activities, resources and support services dedicated to making your college experience enjoyable and successful,” McDuffie Clark said. “Start off strong with our One Week to Go events and get in the right frame of mind for the semester.”

This Fall, students can choose to register for the traditional 15-week semester or two accelerated eight-week Mini-mesters. While Mini-mester I begins September 8, MCC’s Mini-mester II starts on Monday, November 2.
