In celebration of their hard work throughout the semester, Middlesex Community College is excited to host a Student Recital as part of the Fall 2025 “A World of Music” concert series. The concert will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, December 8 at MCC’s Concert Hall in Bedford.

“During my time as a student at Middlesex Community College, I gained essential skills that not only expanded my knowledge and understanding of music but also made me a better musician, student and peer,” said Ben Couvee, an MCC music graduate. “Events such as the music recitals are one of the many ways students are able to share what they’ve learned with fellow classmates and faculty as well as those outside the college community. The recitals are the culmination of all the students’ and faculty’s hard work, celebrating the accomplishments made throughout the semester.”

MCC student singers and instrumentalists, along with works by music technology students, will perform. For student Cam Gagnon, the recital is an opportunity to showcase the work they have been doing throughout their time at Middlesex with their instructors.

“Professor Beggs has pushed me to expand my technical range while always offering thoughtful assessments and encouragement,” Gagnon said. “This semester I learned new repertoire, developed a steadier practice discipline, and gained new insights on the poise needed for public performance. The one-on-one guidance with Dr. Beggs has been essential to my current growth, and I’m excited to continue sharing the progress I’ve made."

MCC will close out the 2025 “World of Music” season with a performance by the Lowell Chamber Orchestra (LCO) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 13 at MCC’s Richard and Nancy Donahue Family Academic Arts Center in Lowell.

Previous performances include the LCO on Sunday, October 12; Jewish Songs and Dances on Tuesday, October 21; Rasa Strings Quartet on Sunday, October 26; and a MCC Faculty Concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 7.

All concerts are free and open to the public.
