Are you seeking financial assistance for your career training?


Through grant funding, MCC offers FREE training programs for qualified Massachusetts residents who are unemployed or underemployed! Our free training programs are grant-funded and developed in collaboration with community partners. These opportunities help you develop the knowledge and skills to directly enter in-demand jobs throughout Massachusetts.


Electronics Technician

MCC's Electronic Technician Training Program (173 hours) will prepare you for a new career.

Skills Learned: Technical Communications, Engineering Graphics, Printed Circuit Boards, Quality/LEAN, OSHA-10 Safety Training, Manufacturing Associate certification through Tooling-U, Math Fundamentals, Electronic and Manufacturing Fundamentals, Computer Skills, J-Standard Prep/Hand Soldering.

Grant funding available for eligible Massachusetts residents over the age of 18 with a High School Diploma or equivalent and legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Metallica Scholars Initiative

In 2022, MCC was selected from a competitive field to join a cohort of community colleges across the country by Metallica’s All Within My Hands (AWMH). Our courses are fully funded by Metallica’s foundation through the Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI).

The program:

  • Trains you in advanced manufacturing and electronics
  • Teaches the skills needed to enter in-demand industries
  • Offers holistic, hands-on training working with software and materials used in the field
  • Provides access to career advising, professional development, and student support services

Pathmaker Advanced Manufacturing with Robotics & Automation

In MCC's eight-week robotics and automation program, you’ll gain:

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and robotics equipment
  • Self-paced learning with group discussions
  • Certified Manufacturing Associate Credentials throughTooling U and OSHA 10
  • Options to interview with Insulet Corporation upon successful completion of the course
