The MCC Board of Trustees is a dedicated group of eleven individuals, including community
leaders, an appointed Alumni Trustee, an Elected Alumni Trustee, and a Student Trustee,
all working collaboratively with the College President. We are committed to ethical
leadership and relentlessly focused on supporting programs that meet the diverse needs
of our students.
Members of the Board of Trustees:
- Directly Influence MCC's Trajectory: Play a vital role in setting policies that align with the college's mission and goals.
- Invest in MCC's Future: Have a personal stake in ensuring MCC remains a thriving institution for generations
to come.
- Serve as Community Leaders: Represent MCC and its commitment to opportunity and expansive excellence within the
communities we serve.
Board-appointed Trustees serve a five-year term with the possibility of one additional
five-year renewal, appointed by the Governor of Massachusetts. As the Elected Alumni
Trustee, you will also maintain a valuable connection with MCC's Director of Annual
Giving and Alumni Relations. This is a volunteer role, and board members serve without
compensation.
The term for this position is anticipated to begin in June 2025, or as determined by the Governor of Massachusetts, who will issue an official appointment
letter. The newly elected Trustee will need to be sworn in within three months of
the appointment date.
Board meetings are typically held monthly in the evening and are offered in a hybrid
format (both in-person and via Zoom), with in-person attendance highly encouraged.
Please note that there are no board meetings in July and August. The selected candidate
must also be available to attend the annual MCC Board of Trustees Retreat on June 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Colonial Inn in Concord, MA.
To be considered for the position of Elected Alumni Trustee, you must:
- Be a graduate of Middlesex Community College.
- Be a current member of the MCC Alumni Association.
- Not be a current or former employee of the College.
