Living the Dream logo

The Living the Dream Partnership was established to continue the legacy of Lura Smith and family, to honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his mission of equality and justice.  As this is the 27th year celebrating this event, now, more than ever, we are committed to our theme the “Power of Unity” to recognize, celebrate and continue the life and legacy of Rev. King.

The Living the Dream Partners – comprised of community leaders from across the city of Lowell — is committed to “Living the Dream.” On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the Partners invite you to come together to join them in a celebration of Rev. King’s legacy. This special community event will be held at The Holy Ghost Society, 65 Village Street, in Lowell from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

The Living the Dream Partners Award encourages you to recognize an individual, organization, or emerging leader that has:  Performed exemplary deeds of service in the Greater Lowell Area to combat long term, persistent problems that impact entire communities (ie., those who have taken steps to address hunger, homelessness, lack of access to healthcare, teaching and mentoring, economic stability, etc.) Please click here for the Living the Dream Partners Award Nomination Form.
