Bedford Campus and Lowell Campus - Day and Evening


Earn your associate degree in Elementary Education to pursue a career working with children and be prepared for transfer to pursue a bachelor's degree. This degree is designed to prepare you to teach in kindergarten through sixth grade classrooms.

Special Note: Students should consider their transfer institution's requirements and their desired areas of concentration when choosing free electives: 

  • Students planning to transfer to University of Massachusetts Lowell should take PSY 101and the remaining history sequence as free electives.
  • Students planning to transfer to Salem state University should take the World History sequence, and EDU 101 and two courses toward a minor program of study as free electives. (Students will complete their minor after transfer.)
  • Students planning to transfer to Fitchburg State University should take IDS 121 as one of their IDS electives, the US History sequence, and EDU 102 and a Personal Wellness course ad free electives. Students should consider a reverse transfer course for the remaining elective.
