Flexible, affordable and accessible options set up students for success at Middlesex Community College. As the Spring 2026 semester winds down, now is the time to start thinking about Fall plans. Registration for MCC’s Fall 2026 semester is now open.

“Our data shows that students who register early have greater access to the courses and instructors that help them thrive,” said Kayla Caron, MCC’s Dean of Enrollment. “Early registration for the Fall 2026 semester also allows us to open new sections and respond to student demand – because your choices guide our planning. Take charge of your path and register early to set yourself up for success this Fall.”

Flexible course formats keep students on track to complete their studies faster, including on-campus, online, hybrid and hyflex options. Students can choose which modality works best for their schedules and needs in addition to choosing between day, evening and weekend classes.

During both the Fall and Spring semester, MCC offers two eight-week Mini-mesters. The accelerated classes allow students to complete classes in a short period of time. This helps students finish their credits faster, balance coursework with other responsibilities, and start classes later in the semester.

Mini-mesters provide the same content, academic standards, and number of instructional hours as courses scheduled during the traditional 15-week semester. While Fall 2026 Mini-mester I begins on Tuesday, September 1, Mini-mester II starts halfway through the semester on Monday, November 2.

Featuring more than 80 degree, certificate and industry credential programs, MCC prepares students to transfer to four-year institutions or enter the workforce. Every student gains access to award-winning student support services and resources while taking classes at Middlesex. This includes academic, transfer, career and financial advising.

To help students afford the costs of attending college, MCC offers financial aid support, including scholarship and grant opportunities. No matter a student’s age or income, community college is now free in Massachusetts! The MassEducate and MassReconnect programs allow all eligible Massachusetts residents who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree to attend MCC for free.

To show students more about what the college offers, Middlesex will host a Lowell Open House at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15.

The Fall 2026 semester starts Tuesday, September 1. Students can also register for MCC’s Summer 2026 classes, beginning Monday, June 1. The Summer semester offers three-, five- and eight-week classes.
