Middlesex Community College helps students fit education into their lives. Offering more than 80 degrees and certificates from which to choose, Middlesex provides access to on-campus and online classes, award-winning student support services, and hands-on learning experiences and internships to help students succeed. Spring 2026 classes start Tuesday, January 20.

“Middlesex Community College provides the education I need to achieve my goals while remaining affordable and accessible,” said Brian Yun, an MCC mechanical engineering student, of Lexington. “MCC has given me both the educational foundation and the hands-on opportunities I need to succeed.”

MCC offers a selection of on-campus, online, hybrid and hyflex courses throughout the semester. Students can choose which format works best for them based on availability. Through all formats, students can connect with professors, classmates and campus resources.

“I enjoy the flexibility of having two campuses and online capabilities, the number of credits transferred in from my time in service, and the opportunity to start fresh with new knowledge and opportunities,” said Kati Manuel, an MCC health care administration student, of Westford. “The skills I learn and the experience I gain here at MCC gives me the framework to continue to move forward.”

To help students succeed, MCC provides access to support services, including free tutoring, the Libraries, the Wellness Resource Center, and academic, financial and career advising. The college also hosts events throughout the year for students to connect with the MCC and greater community, network, and learn more about options for their next steps, including transfer and workforce options.

“By being engaged on campus, you open yourself up to opportunities down the road that you don't think of in the moment,” said Jesalina Sabater, an MCC paralegal studies student, of Lowell. “You meet other faculty and staff who have the potential to write you letters of recommendation and you have access to so much support and resources that could be crucial for your safety, mental health and academic success. You meet like-minded students who share your interests and can provide lifelong friendship.”

In addition to the traditional 15-week semester, MCC also offers eight-week accelerated Mini-mesters. Held twice in both the Fall and Spring semesters, Mini-mesters allow students to finish more classes in less amount of time, helping them transfer or enter the workforce faster.

With free college for eligible students, Middlesex also saves students time and money. No matter a student’s age or income, community college is now free in Massachusetts! The MassEducate and MassReconnect programs allow all Massachusetts residents who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree to attend MCC for free.

“My overall experience at MCC has been amazing,” said Joao Da Silva Pacheco, an MCC biology student, of Lowell. “From day one, I’ve felt supported by faculty and students who cared about my success. MCC has provided the support and guidance that I needed to grow academically and personally, setting me on a path toward success.”
