MCC Is A Proven Community Partner!

We collaborate with local organizations, companies and nonprofits from a variety of industries to provide skills training for their employees.

These partnerships use a collaborative process to develop programs that offer the most relevant and effective professional development opportunities for companies. Our services are offered on-site, online and on MCC’s campuses in Bedford and Lowell.

Our partners include:

This 50-hour training program was tailored to Accumet’s needs to help employees be more effective leaders. Employees found the training to improve their communication and self-awareness skills, as well as their confidence.

“The employees keep raving about the instructor Jeff Davis and the class content, and say that their co-workers absolutely must take the class. Jeff was great about establishing communication with me to create content catered specifically to employees in each cohort.”
– Natasha Simmers, Human Resources Manager for Accumet Engineering

“It will help me through my whole life. Before, I would keep my questions to myself and was quieter, hiding behind my computer. I’d be embarrassed thinking, ‘am I going to say something stupid?’ Now I feel that I have the confidence to speak up and help and encourage others too.” – Solinka Potter, a Sales Representative at Accumet

With MCC's trainings, Lowell General Hospital (LGH) hopes to bring out the best in their employees to build a stronger organization overall and the best work environment and organizational culture needed to support the hospital’s mission and vision.

“Middlesex shares Lowell General Hospital’s commitment to the community. As one of the largest employers in the area, Lowell General has a diverse employee population with diverse professional development needs. MCC provides resources that support all of our employees. Supporting an engaged workforce ultimately allows us to take better care of the people who live in our community.”
– LGH’s Deborah Bergholm-Petka, System Director, Culture & Engagement – Human Resources Tufts Medicine, and Lori Lesofsky

"Participating in the continuing education program at MCC gave me the opportunity to assess my job performance from an updated perspective. This resulted in confirming my commitment to my job and in providing a better understanding of how it fits in with the needs of the company for which I work.  It also provided an expanded view of my career choice."
– Kathleen Kania, Concierge Services at LGH

Minuteman decided to move forward with Middlesex's programming because of the College’s convenient location and willingness to tailor the program to Minuteman's needs. Middlesex’s programming because of convenient location and their willingness to tailor the program to Minuteman’s needs.

“I have only good things to say. The customer service and responsiveness have been outstanding and the trainers have been exceptional. Employees feel supported and feel they are better able to do their jobs. This is an opportunity to ‘cross pollinate’ and bring disparate employees together. I think training of future leaders is our next challenge.”
– Harriet Goldstein, the Director of Human Resources

Juniper Networks is a networking and cybersecurity solutions company. They partnered with Middlesex to train employees in the Essentials of Communications and Interpersonal Skills courses.

“We had a few meetings as a team to develop a plan to move forward that is mutually beneficial for Juniper, MCC and the training provider, and worked through any kinks along the way together. They have been very flexible and easy to work with to make this experience the best it can be for our employees. Middlesex’s flexibility to adjust and move the classes to a virtual platform was imperative to the success and completion of the grant. I am impressed that MCC was able to shift so quickly to make these content areas and classes available to our teams.”
– Marci Barnes, Site Coordinator for Juniper Networks
